Our Story
Almeyda Law, P.A. was founded in 2014 by Jimmy Almeyda, Esq. — a bilingual attorney born and raised in Miami, Florida. As the son of Cuban refugees who came to the United States during the Mariel boatlift in the early 1980s, Jimmy understands firsthand the challenges that immigrant families face. That personal connection to the immigrant experience is what drives the firm’s mission every day.
With over 15 years of experience in immigration law, Jimmy built the firm on a simple promise: to provide skilled, compassionate, and accessible legal representation to the families of South Florida. Today, Almeyda Law has grown to include Rey Hernandez, Esq. — a seasoned family law and personal injury litigator with 30+ years of trial experience — and a dedicated bilingual support team that ensures every client receives the attention they deserve.
